Ashfield House – Shelley + Glenn’s Wedding

Happy First Anniversary! Shelley and Glenn were well on the ball when they booked us nearly two years in advance of their wedding. A top tip for those couples out there with any ‘must have’ wedding suppliers in mind.  It soon flew by and it was fab to see them so excited when we met up again to chat about their plans for the day.

ASHFIELD HOUSE WEDDING

It was all happening at Ashfield House Hotel in Wigan. An exclusive luxury country house setting with a plethora of quirky design features for us to look forward to.  When we arrived on the morning of the big day, venue stylists Add a Little Sparkle were busy making their final touches and we could hear the giggles as we approached the bridal sitting room, where Shelley and her bridesmaids were getting ready.

We got an early sneak peek at the wedding cake and Sugar Wishes‘ bespoke naked cake design was an impressive fruity showstopper.  Glenn and his groomsmen arrived in a pristine vintage VW wedding campervan – they took the scenic route, but made full use of the beer bucket on the way.

There were so many magical moments throughout the day. When Shelley’s dad first saw her gorgeous dress; when Glenn and Shelley met down the aisle; their first kiss – and of course not forgetting Glenn totally rocking the blue coloured smoke flares!  The day was full of laughs and we had an amazing time with Shelley and Glenn and their crew.

The Ashfield House Hotel team well deserve their reputation for being awesome. We look forward to working there again soon! When we left the dance floor was still bouncing, the drinks were flowing and the partying would go long in to the night.
